Abortion has been a topic of conversation since the Supreme Court case Roe v Wade. This past semester I had the opportunity to take an American Constitutional Law class which I absolutely loved and I was eagerly waiting for the day that we got to debate Roe v Wade and the day finally came. Now normally before the days we debate we’re required to read the case before and figure out if we were the majority or the dissent. Now keep in mind I do attend a pretty liberal state university. However, before the Roe v Wade debate we were required to do a couple extra readings. I wish I could link the readings but I unfortunately have no way of finding out what they were now that the semester is over and I don’t have access to the syllabus anymore. I was absolutely surprised at how manipulating and brainwashing these articles were, which I’m not sure why I was surprised because I go to a predominately liberal university. The article that I remember the best is one that discussed how life should not be based on a heartbeat but rather the quality of your brain stem, because your brain stem is what gives you your ability to function and your personality. Then the example the article gave was 2 babies were born, one had a heart defect and wouldn’t survive without a transplant and the other baby had severe damage to his/her brain stem. The doctors wanted to take the healthy heart from the baby with the damaged brain stem and give it to the baby with the heart defect because they said it would save the baby and they would only lose one baby instead of two. However doing so would be considered murder. This is why doctors playing God gets messy. So unfortunately both of the babies passed away. So basically you are not a human being unless and until you have a fully functioning brainstem. After I read this article I remember being so furious that I called my mom and ranted about how I had no case and I can’t debate it when these kids are being so brainwashed. Now lets be clear on something. Roe v Wade stated that abortion is a “right to privacy as stated in the Constitution” but actually the “right to privacy” is never mentioned in the U.S Constitution but the Supreme Court justices felt that “right to privacy” was a concept of “personal liberty” which is mentioned in the Constitution. However the justices completely ignore the “right to life.” But because the left ignores the science of life beginning at conception and the vital sign of life being a heartbeat they can get away with murdering babies.
Back to the classroom debate… I took my seat on the dissent side along with very few other people. It was no secret I am a conservative because my professor loved to call on me. Finally we got on the topic of how women should be able to choose what do with their bodies. One of my biggest pet peeves is this argument. I’m sorry ladies but a baby that has it’s own DNA and is a completely separate entity from you is not your body, it is simply just dependent on it’s mother. So I got called on and said just that. A girl directly across from me on the majority side kept disagreeing and arguing with me and she was getting no where because I was completely prepared to debate this topic while she wasn’t. Then my professor stopped us and said “What if we had artificial wombs” so basically you place the child in the artificial womb and it has no attachment to you whatsoever and it was like you were never even pregnant. That way the baby can still live and the mother can go on as if it didn’t happen. & The girl debating against me actually said no, and that women still have a right to choose. Now this is not my proudest moment but I actually called this girl a monster. I couldn’t believe that she would rather kill a baby than let it live. I was so sickened. Now it was a hypothetical situation and artificial wombs are not a thing but I still couldn’t believe it. After the debate was over I think the girl realized just how terrible she sounded and actually came up to me and apologized. Now did the debate change her stance on abortion? Probably not but did it make her think about what she was actually supporting? I think so.
As a society we have become so desensitized to murdering babies. We have no regard for human life. This is what is wrong with our society.
does this quote make you sick? “Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.”
or how about this one:
“The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” Take a guess at who said these quotes. It was Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood.
I say all of this to spread awareness. How brainwashed our society is and how Planned Parenthood spends millions brainwashing our society. Abortion is murder. Don’t believe me? Maybe a partial birth abortion procedure might open your eyes:
- Abortionist pulls everything out, except the head, by its legs
- Then the abortionist stabs the skull and sucks the brain out, which makes the skull collapse so it’s easy for the head to slide out.
(I got this information from abortionfacts.com)
Wake up America!! How are we supposed to make America great again when we are murdering innocent babies?!
*If I find the articles I read for my American Constitutional Class I will be sure to update this post and link them!
I can’t be the only one who suffers from anxiety and needs encouragement on days when I’m really anxious.
Being a college student, working an internship, being involved in different organizations life can get kind of hectic and can cause anyone to be worrisome or anxious. I have found a few verses that I wanted to share for when I am suffering from anxiety.
A lot of the time anxiety can stem from not fully trusting God and his plan. God has a perfect plan for your life and you have to willing to trust Him. Proverbs 29:25 says that “Fear of man will prove to be snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” This verse speaks for itself. God succeeds fear, trust in Him.
A lot of the time we spend too much time worrying about tomorrow and getting anxious about things that haven’t even happened or things that are out of our control. Matthew 6:34 says “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Take things one step at a time and trust God.
Now, my favorite verse of all time John 16:33. This verse is amazing and can instantly calm any anxious mind. It says “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This verse is so powerful to me. Even though I’m a Christian, it doesn’t mean all my problems go away but it does me that I can face my problems with God which is so comforting.
Last but not least, Proverbs 12:25 says “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” Kindness, support and words of encouragement are a great way to combat anxiety. Jesus can give you the perfect words of encouragement when you pray and talk to him.
God gives us the solutions to all of our problems in His word. He gives us the solutions that no therapy can.
I am so beyond excited to write this review, I literally read this book in 2 days it would’ve been shorter if I hadn’t been reading another book along with it.
Drain the Swamp by Ken Buck… such an insightful book, I think every American should read this. This book takes you through how Congress is currently acting with America’s finances and how it should be acting with it.
So Congress is sometimes labeled “the purse” and that’s because they are supposed to deal with how our money should be spent but instead Congress only cares about themselves and getting reelected. This is why Congress should have term limits because it supposed to be a service not a career. This book takes you through the corruption of how the government is spending our money. Congressman Buck takes you through how Congress hasn’t proposed a balanced budget in years and how we have been funding unauthorized programs (which isn’t illegal). I absolutely love this book because Congressmen Buck actually explains how we can “drain the swamp.” Literally gives step by step. Honestly this book will terrify you a little bit when you read about all the corruption that goes on but hopefully it will help wake up the American people. Our Founding Fathers did not want the federal government to have so much power so it’s our job, as the states, to take back our power.
Seriously, go read it.
James Comey is the former FBI Director who was released of his duties on May 9 of this year (2017).
He had a hearing in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee basically surrounding the speculation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Basically this is all you need to know.
- He confirmed that there was no investigation on President Trump and his actions.
- Comey stated he wrote memos of President Trumps conversation. He claimed he did this because he didn’t want the president to lie.
- He then claimed that he sent the memo to a friend and the friend leaked the memo
- Comey would not share information about Jeff Sessions & Russia
- Comey said he believed he was fired because of the Russia investigation
- In reference to #5, he also claimed he heard the president say so
- Comey admitted to AG Lynch asking him to call the Clinton email investigation a “matter” instead of “open criminal investigation.”
- MOST IMPORTANTLY Comey stated that Russia had no interference in the 2016 election.
Although theres much more to the hearing than the 8 statements listed above, I do think those are the most important ones.
So basically to summarize there is still NO proof to the Russia allegations but of course liberals will still convince citizens otherwise.
So basically the leftist narrative was destroyed
So if you’re like me reading is your favorite hobby and especially now since I’m out of school for the summer I have a little bit more time to read all the books on my list. Today I’m going to review Women Who Work by Ivanka Trump, which I’m sure most of you have heard of. I’m going to be honest I didn’t really plan on reading her book at first because I like reading so I can further my education and her book is not one that I would normally read but I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. I have to say I did enjoy the book, however I wouldn’t consider it one of my favorites. Ivanka is very successful & works very hard and she gives some great advice on the steps to become successful and balancing work, family and social life but she did grow up in a very privileged life. She also addresses that she grew up more privileged than most but I also believe she has a great work ethic which is why she is so successful today. This book isn’t the miracle answer to becoming a millionaire but I do think it is very motivational and is a great place to start. This book is also super versatile you can read it and take notes from it no matter what point in your career you’re at. I think everyone can benefit from the business tips she address in her books. This book is truly inspiring for working women everywhere. It was such an easy read and I had a hard time putting it down. I would read a couple chapters on my lunch break at work and it was so inspiring and put me in such a positive mood to finish out the rest of my work day. Highly recommend this book to any working women, none of us are perfect and it’s good to be able to get advice from a very successful business woman.
I originally wanted this blog to be about my views on politics and to share some of my faith, but I wanted to find a way to properly execute both of them. Although politics have taken over this blog I thought today would be a good time to share my faith with you guys. I don’t really share a lot of personal information, and I plan on keeping it that way but in order for me to really talk about my journey with God I’m going to reveal a little bit to you guys.
At this point in my life, my relationship with God is the strongest it’s ever been. That doesn’t mean that there is not more room to grow because there is. Not too long ago I thought I had my life figured out. I made my own plan for my life. I went to church but I didn’t fully allow God to work in my life. I convinced myself that the direction I was going in was Gods plan. Then He put a stop to it. I was confused and heartbroken. I thought “Why would God allow me to live like this for so long, then when I finally think I have it all figured out he takes it away from me.” Because he knew I deserved better. He knew the life that I was living was not the one he planned for me. After he revealed that to me, he healed my broken heart. I put God in complete control over my life after that, and I’ve never been happier. In order to be truly happy, you have to let God have complete control over your life. You’re still going to go through some bad days but the good days with God are worth it.
A verse that has been stuck in my head through this journey also happens to be my favorite verse. John 16:33 “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace, In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God showed me that I am enough. He showed me my worth.
Told myself I wasn’t going to address the women’s march because (1.) It doesn’t need any more attention and (2.) there are SO many articles already out there about it but I decided to share my views, so here goes…
Playing the victim. That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about the woman’s march. Please don’t call this the “woman’s” march because you do not speak for most women. This march only caused a division between women, nothing else. Tell me what right you don’t have here in America.
This march wasn’t specifically for women’s rights, it was for abortion rights. Women who were pro-life were not allowed to march but men were…
Your right to your body: A baby is NOT your body, you are NOT entitled to birth control, if you don’t want to have a baby I suggest you don’t have sex. You want healthcare benefits but you don’t want to pay for them. You can dress up as a vagina all day long but it’s doing you no good.
Rape, Sexual Harassment, Sexual assault etc. Now rape and sexual assault etc is HORRIBLE and is definitely a problem but let me start out by saying most feminists voted for a woman whose husband sexually assaulted multiple women and then his wife buried all the victims. One of the leaders of the Women’s March is pro-sharia law, yet she doesn’t speak about her religion that oppresses and abuses women.
Equal Pay: All I’m going to say about this is you get equal pay for equal work.
A lot, if not most, of the women who participated in the march had no idea what they were marching for, they just wanted to play the victim. I am all for women’s rights, but I am not all for playing the victim.
We ARE equal, don’t let the media tell you any differently.
